What We Treat
Wrist & Hand Problems
The wrist and hand is made up of some 27 bones. Its mobility and dexterity gives us an amazing amount of function.
Even a very minor issue can greatly reduce our hand function, try tying your shoe lace without using your little finger for example!
Many problems with the wrist and hand are as a result of direct injury, such as a Colles fracture of the wrist, or a crush injury to the hand causing broken fingers.
Osteoarthritis can also affect the many joints of the wrist and hand, causing pain and restricted movement.
Physiotherapy can help to reduce pain and restore movement, thus improving overall function.
