What We Treat
‘Golfers Elbow’
Golfers elbow is very similar in nature to tennis elbow, however the pain is felt on the side of the elbow nearest the body.
It is far less common than Tennis elbow and gets its name from overuse of the muscles on the front of the forearm, which flex the wrist during the golf swing (this would be in the right arm of a right handed golfer).
Again the overuse causes micro trauma and inflammation in the tendons and bony attachment of the flexor muscles which all attach to a small area just above the elbow on the inner side of the arm.
Golfers Elbow tends to be less complex in nature than Tennis Elbow and will usually respond very well to local treatment.
